In an amicus curiae, or "friend of the court," brief filed on Jan. 4, 2011, ASA and ASA of Tennessee answered "no," and asked the Tennessee Supreme Court to reverse lower court decisions that leave subcontractors second-guessing as to which project stoppages will "trigger" the 90-day period that they have to file liens.
